STORYInside the Khpalwak Repair Lab — where Kabul's broken phones get a second life
A walk through the technicians, micro-soldering benches, and zero-waste workflow that powers our after-sale promise.
Step inside the Khpalwak Repair Lab on the second floor of our flagship Charahi Ansari store and you'll find something rare in this corner of the world: a board-level repair operation built to global service-centre standards.
Senior technician Ahmad Sediq leads a team of six certified engineers who handle everything from cracked OLED panels and battery replacements to component-level micro-soldering on logic boards. Last quarter the lab brought 2,400 devices back to life for customers across Kabul, Mazar, and Herat.
Zero-waste by design
Every component swapped out of a customer device is logged, recycled, or reused as a donor part for future repairs — a zero-waste workflow that keeps electronics out of landfill and parts costs low for our customers. It's one more way Khpalwak invests in the long-term health of Afghan tech ownership.
